The short version

On 23 August 2026 Bandai revealed the first nine cards from EB-05 Extra Booster Heroines Edition vol.2 in a promotional video: a new Nico Robin Leader, seven alternate-art Leaders in a design the game has not used before, and two SP cards drawn in the style of the ONE PIECE HEROINES anime. Seven of the nine are not EB-05 cards at all — they are new illustrations of Leaders from OP-11, OP-13, OP-14, OP-15 and EB-03. The set releases 30 October 2026.

01 · The reveal

Nine cards, and no announcement to go with them

Bandai showed these cards in a promotional video and then published nothing else. There is no news article, no card-list entry, and the EB-05 product pages on the English, Japanese, Asia-English and French sites all still serve the grey no-image placeholder where the pack shot belongs. If you only read the official site, EB-05 is still a name and a date.

The reveal is easy to confirm anyway: TCGplayer created presale listings for exactly the three EB-05-numbered cards from the video the following day, and the same announcement named Franky as a Leader for OP-18 — which is the OP-18 product that appeared on TCGplayer on 24 August too.

02 · The Leader

Nico Robin returns as a Leader — with a new card

EB-05's structure allows one Leader, and it is Nico Robin, EB05-010. She has led before — OP09-062 out of Emperors in the New World — so this is a return rather than a debut, but the card itself is new: new number, new attribute, new text.

5000 power, <Wisdom>, 4 Life, Straw Hat Crew. Two effects, both once per turn. When one of your <Wisdom> Characters without [Blocker] is K.O.'d, you add the top card of your deck to the top of your Life cards. And in main phase, you set a <Wisdom> Character of 6000 power or less as active. A Leader that converts losses into Life and re-uses its own board.

03 · The chase

Seven alternate-art Leaders in a frame the game has not used before

This is the half that will drive the set. EB-05 carries alternate illustrations of seven existing Leaders in a treatment that is new to One Piece: a translucent white frame, floral motifs, and the character breaking out past the border. The rules box floats over the art rather than sitting in a panel beneath it.

Six of these keep their original serial, stats and rules text — they are new printings of cards that already exist, not new cards, and they stay tournament-legal as the standard versions. That also means the price you see quoted for "Nami OP11-041" today is the old printing's price. The alternate art is a separate printing and will trade separately.

04 · The SPs

Two cards drawn like the anime

The two SP cards are the first time the game has put a ONE PIECE HEROINES banner on the card face itself: pink gradient ground, the character's name in script across the middle, and an anime-styled illustration rather than a manga-styled one. The anime aired from 5 July 2026, and the set is riding it.

They are Nico Robin EB05-016 — cost 6, 6000 power, <Wisdom>, Counter 1000 — and Nami OP01-016, the Romance Dawn one-cost searcher that has been in Straw Hat decks since the game launched. A card printed in the very first set, coming back in the thirty-fifth, in a style that did not exist then.

05 · The gaps

What is still unknown

  • The Secret Rare. The reported structure allows exactly one, and it has not been shown. On an Extra Booster the SEC is usually the card that sets the box price — EB-03's Uta manga printing trades around $960.
  • Sixty of the sixty-nine cards. Three more are known by name only from TCGplayer presale listings: Tsuru (EB05-036), Shinobu (EB05-042) and Nico Olvia (EB05-056).
  • The English SP art. Both SPs were shown as Japanese cards. The English printings exist but have not been pictured.
  • The rest of the alternate Leaders. Seven were shown. Nothing says seven is all of them.
Presale prices are not a market

All four sealed EB-05 products are listed as presale. The $4.99 pack is asking $24.95, the box sits at $399.95, and the case carries the $9,999.99 placeholder sellers use when they have not set a price. None of that is a signal — it is a handful of listings against zero supply. Real numbers start after 30 October.

When does EB-05 Heroines vol.2 release?
30 October 2026. Bandai's product pages say October 2026 without a day; every TCGplayer presale listing carries 30 October as the street date.
How many cards are in EB-05?
The reveal reported 69 types: 1 Leader, 29 Common, 21 Rare, 9 Super Rare, 1 Secret Rare and 8 Special cards. Bandai's own pages do not state the split, so treat it as reported rather than confirmed. The highest serial seen so far is EB05-056.
Are the alternate-art Leaders new cards?
No. Six of the seven keep their original serial, stats and rules text from OP-11, OP-13, OP-14, OP-15 and EB-03 — only the illustration is new. They are alternate printings of cards that already exist, and they remain legal as the standard versions.
What is different about the SP cards?
They are drawn in the style of the ONE PIECE HEROINES anime rather than the manga, and they carry a HEROINES banner and a script signature on the card face — a treatment the game has not used before.
Is there an EB-05 card list yet?
Not yet. Bandai's card list has no EB-05 entry in any region as of 31 August 2026. It normally goes up around two weeks before release, so expect it in mid-October.
